With such a sharp rise in STD infection rates over the last few years within America, many are wondering if the rise is in parallel with the increase in dating sites and one would reason increase in dating. With Chlamydia infection rates in America at all-time highs (and rising), all angles should be explored if the infection is to be bought under control.  One theory is that the casual interactions that many sites encourage are leading to a time of social promiscuity that has not been present in the last few decades. additionally with programmes designed to give individuals protection against HIV infection many are now practising unprotected sex whereas before they may not have. Whilst young women between the ages of 15-24 are most at risk Chlamydia is a bacterial infection that puts all genders and sexual orientations at risk of both short trema and long term health consequences. Testing with convenient and private devices is one method of delivering more testing to a community that may shy away from that much worried about doctors appointment. Whether swiping left or right is behind this rise in infection rates we may never know, but one thing is for certain. more testing will help reduce the spread of this highly contagious infection.
